                                                                                                                                                                                          The Alliance recognizes the importance of music and has raised more than $1,000,000 to put instruments back into the schools. But the need for an additional $4,000,000 for musical equipment still exists.

Music opportunities are an important part of a complete educational program. Music programs not only develop talent but help students stay focused and learn to work together. Many Metro Schools students are denied this opportunity because band and orchestra instruments are too expensive for individual families to buy, and band instruments are so costly that the school system has been unable to provide them for many years.
